They say you can have different symptoms when you are pregnant with multiples versus having just one. This is very tricky to say whether you really do or don’t. Having birthed twins and just one I was equally sick with both pregnancies. Here are some of the symptoms experts say exist but all of them heavily say it varies from woman to woman. Which for me this could be said about regular pregnancy and twin pregnancies.
You may experience getting severe morning sickness. Again, I was sick with both pregnancies equally. There were times were I felt fine, and there were times I wanted to die.
You may measure a bit larger than usual. I was told when I was pregnant for the second time that I might pop quicker than normal and that was normal for second pregnancies. So yes, you may measure larger. In fact by the end of my pregnancy with the twins I was quite a bit larger. Like 2 aliens were about to burst through my stomach.
One of the best ones I read was you may experience the urge to buy multiple pairs of shoes and watch Full House episodes and Double Mint Gum commercials. OK maybe not the Full House or gum but definitely I had strong urges to buy multiple pairs of shoes. Of course I am kidding about this but it seems most of the topics I read about across the board reference what normal pregnancy is and can be and you just multiply that times the amount of babies you are about to have.
The key to all of it is to take care of you. Get checked up on more frequently as more issues do and can occur the more babies you are carrying.
The one guaranteed difference between having one and multiples is with multiples once they are out they will always out number you. Start recruiting for help now for those first few months.
